Coach Andee Bouwhuis, Head Coach, agunders@att.net

Andee has been coaching swimming for 17 years. She started out coaching middle school swimming when she was a freshman in high school. From there she coached a summer league team in Chester, Montana. She had 42 kids on the team and the city boasted a population of 230. Every kid who was of age swam on the team. She did this for two consecutive years. After that, she moved to Billings, Montana and coached two high school teams and an age group team while she did her student teaching. When she moved to Salt Lake, she stopped coaching swimming and coached basketball and volleyball at the school where she taught. After this, she joined the coaching staff at Bingham High School and coached her first season. At the end of the season, she was talked into starting up the age group team that was at Marv Jensen before. She has now been with the team for seven years and have loved almost every minute of it. Andee's success as a swimmer took her to the Olympic Trials where she competed in the back stroke.

Andee's philosophy is centered around turning children into productive, responsible adults. Swimming is a sport in which athletes learn dedication, respect, responsibility, commitment, and self worth. Swimmers are nurtured and taught the skills needed to be successful, not just in the pool, but outside the pool as well.

Coach Joscie Barrow, Assistant Coach

Joscie has been a swimmer her whole life, starting at age of four. Her family has always referred to her as the fish because of her love for the water. She has been swimming on swim teams since she was six. She swam at Cottonwood Heights and then went on to swim with a team known as Firewater. Her love for swimming grew into high school where she swam for the Hillcrest High School team. Her and her husband, Danny, now have four kids. When her oldest, Mackenzie, got involved with swimming, Joscie became involved in coaching. She was an assistant coach with the KYAT team prior to moving over to SWAT in the fall of 2005. She loves to coach such a great bunch of kids.
